My name is Jalynn ‘JJ’ McDuffey, a 2025 graduate of Florida A&M University, holding a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, and a current Strategic Communications master’s student at Florida State University.
Originally from a small historically black community in Miami, Florida. After being interviewed by a local news station, I realized I wanted to utilize the art of storytelling to highlight the untold stories of underrepresented communities.
With a focus on multimedia storytelling, I took the cards I was dealt and used my background in art to expand into reporting, graphic design, digital marketing, audience engagement, and podcasting
With a mindset to constantly learn and continuously improve, I focus on transparent and creative solutions to expand print and digital journalism through audio and visual media.
